In September 2020, the Recognition and Reward App: “Shout Out” developed by Indigo’s ICT Team was launched on Indigo’s internal communication platform, providing staff an opportunity to recognise fellow colleagues who display value-based behaviour and to recognise employee tenure.
Each quarter, Indigo’s Executive review nominations and select four team members they feel displayed our values in an outstanding way, either towards each other or our customers.
Staff are then presented with a small reward, and one of the nominees announced and celebrated as a Value-based Champion for the Quarter.
Since launching, “Shout Out” has received 28 nominations from across all Indigo departments recognising colleagues who have gone above and beyond and displayed exceptional value-based behaviour.
Staff who have been in employment with Indigo for five, ten and fifteen years+ receive a certificate of acknowledgement from our CEO Steve Glew and a small token of thanks.
People & Culture Manager Lisa Karabin said they have received lots of positive staff feedback on “Shout Out”, on its implementation and ease-of-use.
