Depending on your desired learning outcomes, your AT Experience Session can include:

  • An introduction to assistive technology (AT) delivered by an Indigo Allied Health professional.
  • A focused presentation on AT and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC): looking at communication aids, computer access equipment, alternative access options, assistive learning technology, iPads and tablets, environmental controls, and/or learning and school based AT options.
  • A tour of Indigo's Experience Centre: showcasing a wide range of AT equipment and devices.
  • AT case studies to enhance learning: participants will be given 'real life' case studies and directed to select the AT equipment and devices that could be used to enhance the safety, access, independence and occupations of their 'person'. Case studies will be presented at the end of the session.
