Indigo opens speech pathology capacity with new allied health staff
We are excited to announce that we have expanded our capacity for speech pathology - two new speech pathologists, Lucy and Ana, joined Indigo this year, bringing with them their skills and extensive experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, as well as their experience in assisting clients with a range of communication-based services.
We will continue with our primary AAC services, including AAC device consultation, hire, and support, and funding application assistance. In addition to their continuing AAC intervention, our speech pathology clients will also be able to benefit from our speech pathologists’ expertise in other areas, such as speech and language difficulties, language processing and comprehension, literacy, narratives and discourse, and social communication skills.
Aided by AAC devices, our speech pathologists will be able to better assist clients in understanding speech and communication, learning to read and write, understanding narratives, stories, and social cues, using language in everyday settings, and navigating communication in different social situations or events.
The addition of our new speech pathologists means that our overall capacity has increased, and we look forward to supporting not only our current clients, but new clients who are seeking AAC support and who may benefit from our team’s skills and experience as well.
Our speech pathologists are dedicated to providing services that are tailored to our clients and promote their independence, and expanding our services will allow us to more fully support our clients to achieve their goals.
