Partnering with ECU's Equity, Diversity & Disability Office

Aug 31, 2021, 14:05 PM by User Not Found

Our Allied Health Team are excited about Indigo’s new partnership with Edith Cowan University’s  (ECU) Equity, Diversity and Disability office, to support students to access assistive technology (AT) equipment and/or devices to support and assist their studies.

Commencing in July, our team have already completed four consultations with ECU students.

Students accessing ECU’s Equity, Diversity and Disability office services are informed of Indigo’s services, and then students can be referred or refer themselves for a consultation.

One of our highly qualified and knowledgeable allied health professionals meets with the student at our Nedlands Experience Centre (although campus visits can be arranged if required) and provides information and advice on the right assistive technology and equipment or device best suited to assist them with their studies. This may include things such as literacy, dictation, and notetaking software, reading pens and alternative keyboards. Students can test and trial these devices and equipment during this time.

ECU covers all student consultations and AT devices and equipment costs.
