Indigo’s National Equipment Database (NED) is a State finalist for the INCITE awards celebrating outstanding achievements in the ICT/Tech sector in WA.

As one of five finalists in the social impact category, NED’s e-commerce platform will be judged against criteria as a digital or technological solution solving social challenges or injustices.

Indigo created the NED platform in response to research that revealed customer need for a comprehensive e-commerce platform providing transparent and relevant assistive technology (AT) information and connection with suppliers of AT equipment and devices.

The national platform features over 20,000 products from more than 4,500 suppliers and offers a critical service to many remote regions which previously had limited or no access to AT solutions.

Indigo Chief Executive Officer Steve Glew said he was honoured Indigo was selected as a finalist.  “I’m thrilled that our National Equipment Database has made it as a finalist in the social impact category for the INCITE Awards.  We are up against four very worthy other finalists, so making it this far in the process is a significant achievement.

“NED’s design, testing and development continues to be informed by our customers, with our primary goal being to make AT information and availability of goods accessible to all, particularly for vulnerable users and those in remote regions.”

The INCITE Awards are Western Australia’s longest running Tech Awards program, with category winners to be announced in August.
