In December 2020 the new and improved National Equipment Database (NED) was relaunched.

NED now has a new look and feel, easy to use powerful real time search filters, product cataloguing and for the very first time, ecommerce. This will increase the ability of NED to put Assistive Technology (AT) in the hands of those who need it most and bring tangible benefits to both suppliers and customers.

 

Our commitment will always be to best connect Australia’s assistive equipment users with researching, selecting, and accessing the equipment solutions they need. Customers now have the ability to complete this journey from start to finish on NED.

Products are being loaded to the new platform every week. NED will become Australia's largest AT database while maintaining its strong reputation for information neutrality. The unbiased product and supplier details have greater product comparison functions and can be sorted by location and price.

Last year NED recorded approximately 900,000 unique visitors to the site that engaged with more than 13,000 products across 5,600 different suppliers. Through the new NED all these visitors will have the ability to enquire directly with the suppliers through the website.
